Omeez
Omeez is a Miami born rapper/writer/producer that has been making noise in Florida since 2005. He was a member of “The Legacy” which consisted of two childhood friends and one of his cousins. The group started getting radio play on numerous underground stations and clubs throughout Florida after releasing their first and only single “Like This”. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he eventually stepped out on his solo venture and released his first mixtape entitled “Nuthin But Jam’ in 2009. This marked the beginning of his success as a solo artist. He recently released his second solo cd entitled “Mayday’, which has had an enormous positive response throughout Florida, Georgia, and other regions of the southeast. The singles “So Fine”, “Change Up”, and “Do It Wit Da Lights On’ have been getting rotation on radio and also been featured on numerous mixtapes. The video for his hit single “Change Up’, is currently on World Star Hip Hop and has resulted in Omeez’s nomination for various awards and placement on the Set It Off Two soundtrack. Omeez recently released his latest cd entitled “OG Tales”, which is currently being promoted this year. He has also been producing tracks for other artists and working on follow up singles for your listening pleasure. Not only is he an extremely talented artist, he is also involved with the business aspect of the music industry. Omeez is co-owner of IMG Records, which was formed by himself and his father. His father, “Will Covington”, is a professional drummer/record producer who has worked with numerous artists including BB King on his Grammy-award album, “Six Silver Strings’. No wonder music is like a second breath for him. He brings life experiences of the hood right to your front door. By producing his own tracks as well as writing his own lyrics, his music style is original and guaranteed to make you bounce. He has music for the streets, the ladies, the club goers, the older crowd, and the new age. It is a sure thing that he will leave his trademark in the music industry.
